GSMCON2023: Golden Post Awards nominations open through Jan. 31

Share your agency’s social media accomplishments and be recognized for your dedicated public service work by submitting your entry for the Golden Post Awards now through 11:59 p.m. PT Tuesday, January 31, 2023.

This awards program is exclusively designed to honor outstanding use of social media by government agencies in the U.S. There is no cost to government agencies to submit entries. Our award program features 10 categories focusing on social media strategy, presence and success, and is open for eligible government agencies to enter in the United States. 

New for 2023

We’re making several enhancements for 2023 based on your feedback!

• Entrants will now receive feedback from judges! This has been a popular request, and now, you’ll get insightful feedback at the close of this year’s program, highlighting areas of excellence and opportunities for improvement in your entry.
• Short-Form Video category is now accepting entries for videos that are 60 seconds or less. Videos over 60 seconds should be entered in the “Best Long-Form Video” category.
• Judges can now submit entries — as long as entries are in a category they aren’t assigned to judge.
• Entrants will be asked to share more information about staff size and outsourced work

Golden Post Awards ceremony

We’re bringing back our in-person Golden Post Awards ceremony at the 2023 Government Social Media Conference! GSMCON2023 is the premier social media conference for communicators in public service and it’s happening May 2-4, 2023 in Reno, NV.

Led by co-chairs Chelsea Sawyer, Kristen Waggener and Katie Grant, our 2023 Award Committee is hard at work planning a memorable ceremony celebrating the work of social media professionals. Awards finalists will be posted in March and will receive a certificate. Category winners will be announced during the Golden Post Awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 3 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV, where winners receive an engraved trophy. 

Only registered GSMCON2023 attendees will be able to participate in the ceremony, so we encourage you to register to attend GSMCON! Registration for a virtual ticket also allows entry to watch the live streamed award ceremony for those not attending the conference in person.
