What’s the latest news from Meta that affects government social media professionals?
At the 2023 Government Social Media Conference, in-person attendees and virtual participants will hear directly from Carlin Daharsh, External Affairs Manager for the U.S. Policy team at Meta, on news that directly affects your socialgov role. Joining us virtually this year, Carlin will share the latest government-related updates about the popular Facebook and Instagram platforms.
What will a virtual keynote look like? As the 8th annual GSMCON, and second annual hybrid event, we’re excited to offer opportunities not only for attendees to participate virtually, but also for speakers who otherwise may not be able to take part, too! On the general session stage, it will feel like the speaker is right there, interacting with on-stage emcees, speaking live to attendees and getting you helpful info on these social media platforms.
You may remember Carlin from previous events and her roles helping the government social media community! She executes the company’s social and economic impact programs and manages government partnerships in Midwestern, Southern, and Eastern states. Throughout her tenure at Meta, Carlin has worked closely with state and local emergency management agencies, public health departments, and election offices, to foster community engagement, respond to crisis, and ensure the integrity of local elections. Prior to joining Meta, Carlin has dedicated her professional career to working in the state and local government space, most recently at the National league of cities and the Nebraska state legislature.
