10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET, Tuesday, June 13: Influencers 101: Best Practices and Practical Approaches for Public Health Campaigns
In February 2023, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) published an introductory resource for public health practitioners who are interested in integrating influencers into their public education efforts. The guide draws on FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products’ nine years of experience working with influencers and shares best practices and case studies from the office’s youth tobacco prevention campaigns. Tune in on June 13, 2023 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET to hear two of the FDA authors provide an overview of the guide and discuss influencer programs in a public health context. While the recommendations and examples are drawn from a tobacco prevention context, the knowledge can be applied more broadly to any public education campaign.
