Focusing on improving the ability for all customers to communicate with TSA, she added customer text messaging technology, and Artificial Intelligence technology to help with the increase in travel related questions. During her tenure, TSA was awarded Social Media Team of the year by the Government Social Media Conference, and received the Citizen Service Award by Granicus. Janis has been highlighted on The Tonight Show, NBC Nightly News Kids Edition, A Bit of Optimism podcast with Simon Sinek, the Washington Post, the New York Times, Seattle Times, and many others.
