Award program recognizing outstanding use of social media by government agencies in the U.S. & Canada

The Golden Post Awards celebrates excellence in government social media! Our program features nine (9) award categories focusing on social media strategy, techniques, and results, with several additional special categories awarded by social networks and Government Social Media®. Starting in 2025, we’re thrilled to open the program to eligible government agencies in Canada alongside those in the United States!

New for 2025 - 9 all new categories!

 This year also marks a shift to a paid entry structure to continue to support this growing awards program. Unlike other programs, your first entry is free to ensure costs won't exclude entities with limited resources. Additional entries are $50 for your second and $75 for your third. This small fee supports our commitment to elevating the program, creating a stellar experience for participants, and recognizing the incredible work of government agencies.

The 2025 program is the 9th Golden Post Awards since its debut in 2015, with winners being honored at the Government Social Media Conference (#GSMCON®). Attendance isn’t required to win—but being recognized in person makes it extra special!
