The Government Social Media community has been an amazing asset and source of support to me throughout my time as a part of the organization. The organization's mission to elevate the social media profession is an aspect I've connected with since I discovered it existed. This industry is its own unique beast and playing a part in getting the role recognized for the hard work it is, is something I've been working toward for years through my involvement in GSM. I'm also crazy passionate about professional development with my own team and its importance to our industry – the fact that it's always changing is one of my favorite things about this industry.

Midwest Region Membership

Our association supports a community of government professionals who collaborate about using social media for their agencies. Members elect a representative to serve the association and their region for a term of two years. Members and representatives follow a code of conduct.
